My Destination Imagination team has recently been experimenting with different go to skit themes here are a few of our favorites:

•   Airport themed
• Going through airport security (we had 2 people be the scanner)
• Baggage claim (stealing a bag, mistaking someone else's bag for yours)
• Airplane seat buddies (someone you've never met, someone asleep)
• Afterschool club
• Different activities
• Yard sale
• Items you find their
• TV
• Game show
• Interview
• Infomercial

Some we'd like to try:

• Courtroom
• Things you find in a vending machine

How to Color Code Notes: MATH

I love color coding notes so I thought I would show you all how I do it.

First you'll need to gather supplies. I use felt tipped pens when I take notes but you can really use whatever you want.

This is the color coding system I use in math. Using the different colors makes it easy for me to find whatever I need to know when I go back and study my notes.

I make sure to tape my key into the front of my notebook so I don't lose it.

In my notes I also use a lot of lines, arrows, and I leave extra lines in between different thoughts to make it easier to read. Using capital letters helps me spot the main idea of the notes and important information.  

Now I have beautiful notes that help me find important points in the lesson and see examples really easily.

The American Dream: Your Not Asleep

What is the American Dream?

The American Dream is the opportunity to succeed and prosper. James Truslow Adams said "life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement" 

How can you achieve it? 

Achieving the American Dream is easy. All you really have to do is discover and make opportunities in your life. The real confusion to achieving the American Dream is being successful. To many people don't understand what success is. 

What is success? 

Success is often considered to be a promotion or to achieve a higher social status, but it can also be the completion of a goal or simply not failing. Success to me is achieving happiness. 

Is that it? 

The American Dream is really a simple dream and achieving is even more so. Dream on America!
